Japanese today again bombarded big bridge on the French
railway at Kilo 33 from the frontier. North bound train was
passing at the time and there were casualties. Number not yet known. South bound train conveying British naval party from Chungking is safe. I will telegraph further information as
soon as possible.
Repeated to Foreign Office Commodore in charge Hongkong, Shanghai No. 9.
